I usually have a decent sense of direction. I know which way is north. I know which way I came from and I know where I am in relation to landmarks. Like I said, I usually have a decent sense of direction. Not today.
I rode down to Lake Harriet to hang out with some friends. It was a cloudy and windy day, but the riding was still good. It was my first time on the Greenway and I have to say, that is a great bike path. It is like the interstate for bicycles. A large portion of it underpasses all the streets and so there is no stopping and the path is straight, so I made it most of the way just fine. But when I got around the lakes I had to find the right path to get to the right lake, and I didn't. Then I found the right lake but went the wrong way and ended up riding all the way around Lake Harriet. And I didn't realize it until I asked someone which way was North! I felt foolish.
Nonetheless, I figure I rode over twenty miles.
